Message From Anna Zuckerman

"Because of my family’s firsthand knowledge of living the hardships in the former Soviet Union, I am compelled to give back to the neighbors and community who have been so welcoming and supportive.  My involvement with the American Heart Association began several years ago for a couple of reasons; starting with my family's history with heart disease. My dedication to the cause continued through my husband's tenure on the American Heart Association of Milwaukee board of directors, where he is a respected cardiologist.  Through his work, my husband saves patients from heart disease every day.  As such, I aim to help educate and support the Association's effort to combat this killer disease."

"It is such a privilege be on the chair for this honorable campaign. Heart disease is a serious issue that deserves more attention, especially from women. Once the risks are known, there are easy steps to prevention. Through my involvement, I hope to help raise awareness for this serious matter and to encourage women to take more action in creating and maintaining healthy lifestyles."
